Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh
(May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be with you).

In today’s lesson we are cautioned about using any aspect of Religion (Islam) for worldly benefits.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (PBUH) narrated that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: Towards the end of time, there will be people who will deceive. They will use the aspects of Religion (Islam) to gain benefits for the worldly life. They would be such that they will show they are poor or pious and the general public will take effect by them. Inevitably, they would be wolves in sheep clothing. Their tongue will be as sweet as sugar. But their hearth will be sly as the wolves. They will be deceiving people in the name of Allah (SWT).

In the hadith it is mentioned that Allah (SWT) swears on his honor that I will make such conditions amongst them that the intelligent & the wise ones amongst them will be left spell bounded & confused with what is happening.

Explanation: People will look as if they are ideal worshippers of Allah (SWT). They show themselves to be great pious people. But inevitably, it will be the total opposite. The simple servants of Allah (SWT) will be caught in their deception.

We ask Allah (SWT) to save us from such people. Allah (SWT) has promised a severe punishment for such people.

Let us recite the tasbih, Allah-hu-Akbar Kabira, Walhamdulillahi Kasira, Wa Subhan-Allahi bukratav wa aseela. If we recite this tasbih, Allah (SWT) will open the doors of the skies & the heaven.

Let us pray to Allah (SWT):
Oh Allah, grant us sincerity in our actions. Save us from ostentation. Save us from doing this deeds for the wrong reasons. Oh Allah, grant us the garments of piousness, the garment of excellence. Oh Allah, grant garments of Afiyah (health, free from illness & grief), peace & love.

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh (May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be with you).

Abu Ayub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated, once in the gathering of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) one person recited ‘ALHAMDULILLAHI HAMDAN KASIRAN TAYYIBAN MUBARAKAN FIHI’. Hearing this Prophet Muhammad (SAW) asked who recited this phrase. That person kept quiet thinking he recited something incorrect and the Prophet disliked it. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) again asked who recited this phrase, the person humbly said, I recited it and I hope this phrase is good. If this is good then it is from Allah (SWT) and if it is incorrect then please forgive me. On this Prophet Muhammad (SWT) said, I swear on Him Who has the authority over my life, I saw 13 angels battling to submit this phrase to Allah (SWT).

May Allah (SWT) grant us the ability to follow this.
